Welcome to the SOuRCe!

The Student Organization Resource Center (SOuRCe) is the center for providing all of the Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) with support and resources to succeed here at NSU. We also connect students with organizations that they may be interested in joining and we give students the opportunity to create organizations and start something of their own.

Looking to start a new student organization on-campus? Are you interested in a hobby, passion, or subject that is not seen presently in one of our current organizations? Then you can submit an application to start a new organizations. We accept submissions each semester. Undergraduate Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) may be organized to promote any legal purpose, which involves an educational, recreational, or social interest. 

INSTRUCTION PROCESS

  1. Log into SharkHub with your existing NSU credentials.* 
  2. Once directed to main SharkHub page, click on the "Organizations" tab located at the top of the page.
  3. Click on "Register New Organization" on the left column.
  4. Scroll down to "Register New" and click on "Register a New Organization". 
  5. Please review the registration instructions and fill out steps 1-7 of the registration process in order to submit.
  6. Wait for confirmation from the Graduate Assistant for Student Organizations.
  7. Following the confirmation, the president and treasurer will have to present in front of the Assistant
    Director of Campus Life and the Graduate Assistant for Student Organizations. Based on the
    presentation, they will then determine whether the organization will continue on to the Conditionally
    Approved Status.
  8. If the organization moves forward with the Conditionally Approved Status, then they will have to
    attend the "New Organization Orientation". Once attended, then the organization will be officially recognized as an RSO.
*For first-time users, you will be prompted to "Create an Account". It will ask for your first and last name, NSU e-mail, and agree to the SharkHub User Policy.
Student Organization Registration Deadline for the Winter 2019 term is February 1, 2019 by 5 pm.

Registered Student Organizations can submit a request through SharkHub for various equipment. In order to reserve the popcorn, snow cone, cotton candy machines, and regular board/card games, the request must be done at least 10 business days in advance. 

Registered student organizations in good standing with the Office of Campus Life and Student Engagement are eligible to reserve a locker in the Rosenthal Student Center. The lockers can be used to store your organization needs. All organizations must follow the terms and conditions and only one key will be given to the organization. The key must be returned towards the end of the Winter term of the academic year.

  • Monday – Thursday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday – Sunday: Closed
