Frequently Asked Questions

  • I would like to print out flyers, how many copies can I make?
    You may print up to 25 copies per day for your organization. No printing for your personal use, please. The Student Staff Team within the SOuRCe will assist you with your copies.
  • How do I start an organization on campus?
    You will need an advisor, president, treasurer, and 6 members. To create an organization, you will need to submit a registration submission on Sharkhub once you have logged in with your NSU credentials. For more information on how to start a new organization, please click here. 
  • Can I take crafting supplies or equipment out of the SOuRCe office?
    You cannot take out craft supplies and equipment, including scissors, staplers, and hole punchers, out of the office. The items must stay inside the SOuRCe office at all times.
  • I would like to join an organization. How do I become a member?
    If you are interested in joining an organization, create an account on SharkHub today to view our organizations within our community! Click on “Organizations" on the top of your portal homepage, select an organization that interests you, and send the president an email about your interest.
  • How many undergraduate organizations are?
    There are over 100 undergraduate organizations and 13 Greek organizations on campus.
  • How many organizations in total are there on the Main Campus?
    There are over 200 graduate organizations and over 100 undergraduate organizations.
  • How can I reserve a space for an event or meeting?
    In order to reserve a space for an upcoming event or meeting for your organization, you will need to go to your organization’s SharkHub portal. To create a new event for your organization, please click here for step-by-step instructions once logged in into SharkHub. 
  • When are the IOC Meetings, and who has to attend from our organization?
    IOC meetings are held every first Thursday of the month. It is recommended that one executive board member from your organization attends these meetings in order to be eligible for funding. To learn about IOC and their IOC meetings, please click here. 
  • What are FIN Points?
    FIN Points were created in order to promote collaboration, communication, and a campus community. FIN Points are allocated only towards events or activities that promote student organization growth, creating name recognition on campus, and giving back to the community.
  • Who do I contact about FIN Points?
    You can contact the Inter-Organizational Council at ioc@nova.edu for additional information on FIN Points. You can also view your FIN Point standings by clicking here.
  • Who do I contact about SERV Hours?
    You can contact the Student Leadership & Civic Engagement office about SERV hour opportunities and your current SERV Hour total. You can visit them in Rosenthal Student Center, Room 208, or by email at slce@nova.edu

  • Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday – Sunday: Closed
