the SI for the Intro to Psychology class for Fall 2024. I am majoring in Psychology and minoring
in Criminal Justice and Forensic Studies. I chose to become an SI this semester because I want to
improve my leadership skills, and I love helping people discover new ways to learn information.
I am currently the president of the NSU Psychology Club. Fun fact about me is that I love to
travel and cook!

Avani Kulkarni
Hello! My name is Avani, and I am a Senior SI for Intro to Neuroscience this semester! I am a Senior majoring in Neuroscience with minors in Pre-Health and Health & Wellness Coaching. I am originally from San Jose, California, moving here for college in 2022. I am super involved around campus, holding positions such as: Student Director of SEABoard, Health and Wellness Ambassador for IOC, member of President's 64, and a sister of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. I chose SI because I was a student in class who was helping other students with class material. I wanted to help other students with classes that I felt comfortable in because I saw the difference that it made with my peers. I love collaborative discussions and learn a lot from my students as well. Some fun facts about me: I have a twin sister (who goes to a different school), a golden retriever I never stop talking about, and a 2nd degree burn on my neck from mac and cheese!
