The Tutoring and Testing Center (TTC) empowers Nova Southeastern University students to achieve academic success through comprehensive support services. We deliver free, interactive one-on-one tutoring sessions in 40+ subjects, cultivating critical thinking and promoting active, independent learning. Our professional staff guides students toward their academic goals with a holistic, student-centered approach.
Please note that tutoring is only available for NSU courses in which students are currently enrolled. We do not offer tutoring for NSU placement tests, CLEP examinations, or graduate exam preparation.
Tutoring, Drop-In, and Academic Support Hours
The Tutoring and Testing Center offers in-person and virtual academic support services during the Winter 2026 semester. Services include peer tutoring, peer academic consulting, supplemental instruction, testing services, and subject-specific support. Hours and availability vary by service and format.
Supplemental Instruction leaders are placed in select courses and host collaborative study sessions for assigned students. Check the SI schedule for course-specific availability.

How to Schedule a Tutoring Appointment:
- Log in to SharkLink and click "Navigate" to access the appointment scheduling page.
- Click "Schedule Appointment" and select "Tutoring and Testing" as the appointment type.
- Select "Course-Based Tutoring" as the service.
- Choose a date and time and select your course.
- Provide details about what you need help with and click "Schedule."

To ensure a productive tutoring session, please review the following policies:
Appointment Limits:
- You may schedule up to three appointments per course per week.
- You may attend one tutoring session per subject per day.
- You may schedule a maximum of five tutoring sessions in any given week.
- You may schedule one appointment per class at a time.
Cancellations/Rescheduling:
- Please cancel or reschedule appointments at least three hours in advance.
Late Arrivals:
- Arrivals 10 minutes or more past the scheduled time may require rescheduling.
Preparedness:
- Please bring all necessary books, notes, and reference materials, and come prepared with specific questions.
The TTC provides supplemental tutoring for current coursework in:
- Languages: Spanish
- Mathematics and Technology: Computer Science, Engineering, and Mathematics
- Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Neuroscience, Nutrition, and Physics
- Social Sciences and Business: Accounting, Economics, and Psychology
Remember, tutoring reinforces course content, it does not replace class. Please bring specific questions to your sessions. Supplemental resources, like math tutorials, are available.
Become a peer tutor and support fellow NSU undergraduates in a variety of STEM courses. We're looking for passionate and knowledgeable students to join our team.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Current NSU undergraduate student
- Overall GPA of 3.4 or higher a B+ or better in each course you wish to tutor
- Availability to work at least 8 hours per week
