Veteran Career Services

Student veterans are encouraged to visit the Office of Career Development to discuss their unique experiences as they consider academic majors and/or career path selection. Because skills and experiences differ significantly from those of the more traditional student, student veterans may find it necessary to transfer and translate those skills into terms that are more marketable to a potential employer. Our staff members provide a variety of other services including drop-in advisement, workshops, on-campus employer visits, and employer networking opportunities.

Services Offered

  • career advisement
  • standard and federal resume building
  • paid and unpaid internship opportunities
  • training for NSU staff members on veterans-related issues
  • career fairs for veterans
