Healthcare Compliance Training

Education is an integral part of the Healthcare Compliance Program. It is an ongoing process to educate employees about their compliance responsibilities, and changes in regulations. Each employee within a NSU health profession college, division, department and Healthcare Center is required to attend a general orientation about the Healthcare Compliance Program, the Code of Conduct, and how to report concerns within his/her first 30 days of initial employment.

The Office of Healthcare Compliance will conduct the general training sessions for all applicable new employees during the Office of Human Resource New Employee Orientation Program. The New Employee Orientation Program is generally conducted on a bimonthly basis. Please see the New Employee Orientation Meeting Dates at: https://www.nova.edu/hr/orientation/index.html

In addition, all appropriate NSU healthcare professionals and employees involved in clinical operations, the delivery of patient care, and professional billing are required to attend, at a minimum, an annual department/provider specific compliance training.
