Nova Southeastern University (“NSU”) has adopted a set of core values to which it is committed, including the core value of integrity. NSU has an expectation that employees will engage in ethical behavior and conduct themselves in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and university policies.
The NSU Health Care Compliance Program assists our institution in promoting our commitment to following applicable laws, regulations and university policies with a particular emphasis on compliance with the laws that govern the documentation, coding and billing of health care services. The Health Care Compliance Program provides information and tools to support employees, faculty, researchers and students in their efforts to ensure compliance with billing, coding, and documentation requirements.
Any person with concerns about practices relating to documentation, coding, and billing is required to report those concerns to a supervisor, manager, the Ethics and Compliance Reporting Hotline, or the Health Care Compliance Program. Through prompt reporting NSU can proactively address unintentional errors, identify non-compliant practices, and respond with appropriate corrective actions.
