All NSU employees, but particularly those who have job duties with respect to education loans or other sources of financial aid, are expected to maintain exemplary standards of professional conduct in all aspects of carrying out their responsibilities.
NSU's financial aid and student account professionals will:

refrain from taking any action for personal benefit;

refrain from taking any action that is contrary to law, regulation, or the best interest of students and parents;

provide information that is accurate, unbiased, and does not reflect any preference arising from actual or potential personal gain; and

be objective in making decisions and advising the university regarding relationships with any entity involved in any aspect of student financial aid.
In addition the code of conduct bans:

revenue-sharing arrangements with lenders;

directing borrowers to particular lenders or delaying loan certifications;

offering of funds for private loans to students in exchange for concessions or promises;

receiving gifts from lenders, guaranty agencies, or loan servicers; and
-
accepting compensation for consulting arrangements or contracts and services on an advisory board, commission, or group established by lenders or guarantors, except for reimbursement for reasonable expenses.

As a member of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), the university also follows the standards established in NASFAA's Statement of Ethical Principles.
