Did you know NSU is one of few institutions with its own debt management area? The "Debt Squad," located in the Horvitz Administration Building, provides NSU students with proactive debt management strategies throughout their borrowing lifecycle and NSU colleagues with training sessions to better educate students on financial literacy and debt management. Thanks to the important work of the Debt Squad, NSU has a low cohort default rate in comparison to the national average.

Students who completely withdraw within a semester for which financial aid was received may be required to return “unearned” aid. The Coordinator for the Return of Title IV Funds reviews these students’ academic and financial aid record for a Return of Title IV Funds calculation and communicates with the students accordingly.

For more information, visit Return of Title IV Funds, email R2T4@nova.edu or call ext. 27426.

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is used to define successful completion of coursework within a maximum timeframe to maintain eligibility for financial aid. All NSU students’ academic records are reviewed annually for SAP. Students who fail to meet SAP will not be eligible for Title IV federal and Florida state financial aid for the following academic year.
