The Work Number

Nova Southeastern University has partnered with The Work Number® from Equifax, to provide employees with a simple, quick and private way to get your employment and/or income information to the companies that need it.  The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days per week, so that you can get the decisions you need when you need them, even on weekends or during evening hours. 

 

If you are asked by a third party (for example a bank, property manager, car dealer, or caseworker) for income verification or employment verification, send them to:

  1. Visit: theworknumber.comand click LOG IN
  2. Enter Employer Code 15752 and click LOG IN
  3. Enter your social security number and click Continue
  4. Enter your default PIN*: last 4 digits of SSN + YYYY of birth and click LOG IN
  1. Give the lender your Employer Code. (15752)
  2. Give the lender your Social Security Number.
  3. Tell your lender to go to www.theworknumber.com and enter this information to get a verification

  3. Create a Salary key to give to the lender as employee authorization for release of income. 
  4. Tell your lender to go to www.theworknumber.com and enter this information to get a verification.
  1. Log into your employee account at theworknumber.com
  2. Click on Salary Key
  3. Select View/Create Salary Key
  4. Select “+ New Salary Key”
  5. The new salary key can be printed or emailed with instructions for the verifier on how to use it through The Work Number. Alternately, the salary key itself can be provided to the verifier along with your employer name or code (15752) and your social security number.

To find out what The Work Number shares with verifiers, you may access a copy of your Employment Data Report (EDR) once per year.

  1. Log in to your employee account at theworknumber.com
  2. Click Request Instant Online Report
  3. Select the state you are employed in
  4. Select a reason for your request
  5. Select whether to show your full social security number on the report or mask it
  6. Click Get Instant Online Report
