Registrar Services

The Office of the University Registrar provides many services to both enrolled and future students. Please review the information below in order to solve your unanswered questions.

Academic Transcript Requests

Official academic transcripts can be ordered online through SharkLink, by mail, fax, or in person. Transcript orders may not be sent electronically as this is not a secure transmission method and cannot safeguard personal data. Unofficial academic transcripts may be viewed at any time through SharkLink.

Address Changes

Currently-enrolled students have the ability to change their address through SharkLink or by completing a Data Change Form that can be submitted by DocuSign or faxed or mailed to the university for processing.

Admissions Applications

Whether you're preparing to start college as an undergraduate or want to advance your career with a graduate degree, NSU can help you achieve your goals.

While it is the State of Florida and not the university that issues the Apostille, NSU can assist by providing notarized copies of transcripts and/or diplomas for students seeking the Apostille seal.

Degree Conferral

Students wishing to be awarded a degree from Nova Southeastern University must complete a degree application in order to initiate the conferral process.

Diplomas and Certificates

All degrees are conferred on the last day of the month in which the advisor approves the degree application. If there are no holds, diplomas and certificates are mailed directly from the Office of the University Registrar.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) affords students and alumni certain rights with respect to their education records.

Gender Changes

A student's academic record reflects the gender with which the student identified him- or herself at the time of university application. Students who subsequently wish to change their gender designation must provide a certified copy of a court order showing their change of gender.

Nova Southeastern University does not mail grades to students. Once a grade is posted, an email is sent to the student’s NSU email account with instruction on how to view grades in SharkLink.

Loan Deferments, Enrollment, and Degree Verification / Student Self-Service

To conveniently serve Nova Southeastern University students and the business community, NSU has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as its agent for providing enrollment and degree verifications.

Name Changes

Nova Southeastern University requires official documentation to make a name change.

Photo IDs

The SharkCard is the official Nova Southeastern University identification card. All students, faculty, and staff are required to carry the SharkCard for identification purposes.
