All F-1 students on initial* NSU I-20s must attend an F-1 International Student Check-In in order to have their SEVIS records registered and activated.
*This includes all students on initial NSU I-20s, including students who have transferred from another institution, students who are starting a new program at NSU, and students who are in the middle of their NSU program but have been issued a new initial I-20 for another reason (following a termination, leave of absence, etc.)
The Check-In Process varies depending on your situation. Please refer to the information below to determine what you must to do to complete your F-1 Check-In:
If you are in your ffirst program at NSU and are attending classes on the main Fort Lauderdale (main) campus you must complete an in-person F-1 Check-In. The in-person F-1 Check-In is delivered during the International Student Orientation.
