Freshman Applicant

  • 3.0 Weighted High School GPA
  • High School/Prior-Learning/Military Transcripts (JST, CCAF)
  • SAT: Mid-range 1000 - 1220 (Combined Math & Critical Reading Only)(Code: 5514)
  • ACT: Mid-range 22-29 (Composite) (Code: 6706)
  • Recommended Optional Items:

    • Volunteer Experience (Prior to or during service)
    • Letter of Recommendation (From a Superior)
    • Personal Essay (Why NSU?)
    • A Copy of Your Resume

Transfer Applicant

  • 3.11 College GPA Overall
  • Prior-Learning/Military Transcripts (JST, CCAF)
  • At least 24 College Credits*
    • *If less than 24 credits, submit high school transcript and SAT/ACT scores. See above for details.
  • Recommended Optional Items:

    • Volunteer Experience (Prior to or during service)
    • Letter of Recommendation (From a Superior)
    • Personal Essay (Why NSU?)
    • A Copy of Your Resume

Nursing Applicants

If you intend to use your benefits, you must complete apply through the VA.gov website ASAP.

  • To start your application go to: www.va.gov
  • Click on Apply for Education Benefits
  • Follow instructions provided on the website

The VA will process your application within 4-8 weeks and you will be sent a Certificate of Eligibility (CoE).

Once you receive your CoE, immediately hand deliver it to the VA Certifying Official located on the main campus in the Horvitz Administration Building.

Each year you can apply to receive free Federal financial aid. Filling out a FAFSA also allows access to Federal Work Study student employment positions.
