Jeff Cournoyer, MHS, ATC

Manager, Clinical and Research Physiology Labs

Jeff Cournoyer is the exercise physiologist at the Institute for Neuro-Immune Medicine where he collaborates with both the clinical and research departments to help bring the most cutting-edge physiological treatments to all of INIM's patients and research participants.

Working with teams both at Nova Southeastern University as well as the Miami Veteran's Affairs Health Center, Jeff has been active in research and clinical care while treating Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS), Gulf War Illness (GWI) and Post-COVID Sequelae, otherwise known as "Long-COVID". With specializations based around the functioning of the metabolism and autonomic balance, he will ensure that patients are able to work with their bodies' physiological functioning and move toward a healthier physical profile.

Prior to joining INIM in 2015, Jeff worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with the University of Miami physical therapy department, as well as with both the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). While working in sports medicine, clinical research and the physiological sciences, Jeff has developed a passion for analyzing the way the human body moves and functions, and greatly enjoys working with INIM patients to help them recover their functional capacities and accelerate their recoveries.

Jeff lives in Miami, FL with his wife Sabrina and their fluffy, 4-legged best friend, Chloe.
