International Student & Scholar Advising Appointments

  • All fall 2020 international student advising is by appointment only.  There is no walk-in advising.  No exceptions will be made and students are asked not to visit the Office of International Affairs without an appointment.
  • Most advising will continue in an online format.  This is our preferred advising format to ensure safety for students and staff.  We will offer limited in-person advising appointments starting August 17, 2020.
  • In person advising reminders:
    • All visitors to the Office of International Affairs must wear a facial covering at all times.
    • Please sanitize your hands upon arrival to the office.
    • Follow all directions signs and the requests from OIA staff members to practice physical distancing.
    • No guests. Only the individual who scheduled the appointment is permitted in OIA.  Guests must wait outside of the office.
    • Do not come to the office if you are displaying COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19 in the past 14 days.  COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough, difficulty breathing and fatigue. We reserve the right to cancel an appointment if enough risk is present.

To book your appointment:

  1. Select your "service".  Choose the advisor you would prefer to see (James Vatral or Deborah Pabon) and the location you would prefer for your appointment (in person or by phone/zoom).
  2. Once you select your service, the calendar will load with the available appointment dates and times for that service.  Select the date and time that works for your schedule.
    • If you do not first select the service, no dates/times will appear.  You must select the service to see availability!
  3. Fill in your information:
    • Important: Please double check your email address.  If you enter the wrong address you will not receive a confirmation with important information about joining your appointment.
  4. Hit Book!  You will receive a confirmation email and calendar invite with details about your appointment.
  5. If you are unable to attend, please use the links in your confirmation email to cancel or reschedule.  Please be considerate of others - if you schedule an appointment and do not attend, you are taking an appointment from another student who may need it.
