Nova Southeastern University is home to over 900 international students from more than 100 countries, creating a diverse and vibrant campus community. With comprehensive educational opportunities, cultural and athletic events, and continuously improving facilities, NSU offers a top-tier experience, preparing students for success in a competitive world.

The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) provides immigration assistance and acts as a liaison with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Our goal is to offer excellent service and ensure a remarkable overall experience through support services and events like international student orientation, International Education Week, and networking events.

Mission Statement With unfailing courtesy and respect, the Office of International Students and Scholars staff strives to exceed the expectations of our F and J visa holders by providing quality immigration-related services, guidance, and counseling. 

F-1 and J-1 Student Advising

NSU’s international student advisers support you with academic questions, course planning, permits, and visas. Whether you're a current or prospective student, we’re here to help make your transition to NSU and South Florida smooth and seamless.

Drop-In Advising:

  • Monday and Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

  • Access Navigate.
  • Select “Schedule an Appointment."
  • Choose “Student Services” > “Office of International Affairs.”

You will receive an email notification with the Zoom information once your appointment is booked.

F-1 Students at Regional Campuses

Each NSU campus has a Designated School Official (DSO) to support F-1 students. Regional Campus DSOs assist with the initial check-in process and required travel signatures.

The International Student Union (ISU) is a registered student organization that supports the international student community through integration, events, advocacy, and cultural awareness.
