 it is imperative that NSU remain vigilant in its efforts to ensure we provide appropriate care and a safer environment for our students and employees while in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please utilize self-assessment criteria prior to arriving at any NSU facility as outlined by the CDC at

Visitors are not permitted at any NSU location if experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, including fever or chills, coughing, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, sore throat, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting or diarrhea.  

Do not visit NSU if you recently had known contact with an individual ill with COVID-19.

If making a site visit:

  • Wearing a mask or face covering is required at all times
  • Make every effort to minimize touching surfaces
  • Refrain from shaking hands
  • Maintain physical distancing (6 ft apart)
  • Practice correct hand hygiene per the CDC recommendations 
  • Adhere to instructions provided on signage throughout campus

Note: temperature screening is required at our NSU Health Clinics and College of Dental Medicine.

Vendors are expected to educate their staff on the importance of following the CDC recommended guidelines handwashing and prevention.  NSU makes our sinks fully accessible for good hand hygiene and requests that visitors wash hands frequently.   

If after visiting NSU you test positive for COVID-19, we ask that you please update us at so that we can make others aware of their possible exposure.
