Our Mission
Student Disability Services provides information and individualized accommodations for students with identified disabilities. To be eligible for disability-related accommodations, students must have a documented disability as defined by applicable federal and state laws.
Nova Southeastern University complies with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 by providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with a documented disability. It is the mission of the Office of Student Disability Services to provide accommodations, support services, and auxiliary aids to qualified students with disabilities to ensure equal and comprehensive access to University programs, services, and campus facilities.
University Statement on Prohibition Against Harassment on the Basis of Disability
Notice to Students, Faculty, and Staff
NSU does not tolerate the harassment of any members of the University community on the basis of disability. The University is committed to taking immediate action to eliminate any harassment, prevent its recurrence, and address its effects. Any student or employee found to have engaged in acts of harassment on the basis of disability will be promptly disciplined, including potential suspension or expulsion for students, and suspension or termination for employees.
The University encourages all members of the NSU community to work together to prevent harassment on the basis of disability. The University encourages any student or employee who believes that he or she has been subjected to harassment on the basis of disability to report the harassment to the University in accordance with the NSU Discrimination/Harassment Grievance Policy. Students should report instances of discrimination and/or harassment to Dr. Benjamin Johnson, Dean of Students.
