Fall 2021 Undergraduate Registration Changes

It is with great excitement that we announce new changes to the current registration process for all undergraduate students. Based on the feedback we received from the undergraduate student body, and brought forward by the Undergraduate Student Government Association, we are pleased to introduce a tiered registration schedule that will allow all students to register for their classes by class level beginning with the senior class.

Definition of Class Levels

Seniors: 90+ credits

Juniors: 60-89 credits

Sophomores: 30-59 credits

Freshmen: 0-29 credits

 FAQs

Class level or registration status is determined based on the number of credits you earned, transferred, and were in progress of completing for the Fall 2021 registration cut-off deadline which was March 26, 2021. You can view your registration status in the "Prepare for Registration" section in Self Service Banner.

The new registration changes that are being implemented do not use the former priority registration for students who may currently have a designation of Honors, Athletes, etc. Nonetheless, these changes do not affect a student’s record or designation.

Students who require assistance may contact an academic advisor at the Center for Academic and Professional Success at (954) 262-7990 or caps@nova.edu.

The Registrar’s Office and the One-Stop Shop can assist students with registration procedures but not with advising and course selection. Students are encouraged to contact CAPS and speak with an advisor to discuss course selection, program requirements, and the class schedule.
Class standing is defined based on the number of earned, transferred, and in-progress credits on the student’s academic record as of March 26, 2021.  Students are encouraged to review their academic record in Degree Works.
Registration and other important dates for the 2021-2022 academic year are published on the registrar's website.
