Generally, transcripts are processed within one (1) business day of receiving your request. Paper transcripts will be processed within one to two business days from the receipt of your request. The processing time may be longer near holidays on which the university is closed.

For standard U.S. mail, please allow ample time for delivery. If you choose to have a transcript mailed directly to yourself, be aware that your name and address will appear as the one it was "Issued to."

Other delivery options include overnight domestic express delivery and international express. International deliveries may take two or more business days to arrive, depending on the country to which the transcript is being delivered.

If you ordered an eTranscript, you may view the status of your transcript delivery in your Parchment account. If your paper transcript was not delivered because you provided an incomplete or incorrect address, you will need to submit a new request, and another payment will be due. We cannot accept responsibility for timely delivery by the U.S. Postal Service or FedEx.

Situations that will prevent the issuing of a transcript include:

  • Financial hold*
  • Insufficient or inaccurate information
  • Invalid recipient email for electronic delivery request
  • The request violates FERPA regulations.

*If you have an outstanding balance with the university, a financial hold will prevent you from receiving your transcripts until your balance has been paid in full. To make a payment, please login to your SharkLink account or NSU eBill. If you do not have access to either, please call the University Contact Center for assistance at (954) 262-5200 or 800-541-6682, ext. 25200.

Student transcripts from previously-attended institutions that were provided for admissions and/or transfer of credit consideration become the property of NSU and are considered official only at the time of receipt. NSU cannot release copies of transcripts from other institutions that are part of a student’s education record. In order to obtain accurate up-to-date information and assure that no protocol of the issuing institution is circumvented, a student must contact the originating school for a copy of that transcript.
No, multiple degrees or majors cannot be divided into separate transcripts. Your NSU transcript contains all academic activity while attending NSU.
If you encounter any complications with a requested transcript you may contact Parchment at (847) 716-3005.

Electronic Transcript (eTranscript)

While you can forward the email, please note that once a transcript has been downloaded, it is no longer considered official.

Both paper and electronic transcripts are official documents issued by NSU that contain the complete representation of a student's academic record at NSU. The paper transcript is mailed by U.S.Postal Service or FedEx in a sealed, tamper-proof envelope. The eTranscript is emailed and contains an additional first page that provides information regarding the transcript itself. It is the student's responsibility to verify that the recipient will accept delivery of an electronic transcript.

Yes, the NSU eTranscript issued through Parchment is official. It is the student's responsibility to verify that the recipient will accept delivery of an electronic transcript.

An email with a link to download the transcript is sent containing the following information:

From:"Nova Southeastern University (No reply please)"

Subject:"Nova Southeastern University: Authentic Document Delivery Service"

To maximize privacy and security, the recipient will receive two email messages. The first email will include a link, the second email a passcode. Once the passcode is entered, the recipient will select the download button to access the certified transcript.

Note: The recipient will have access to retrieve the transcript only once. To view the transcript at a later time, it must be saved as a PDF.

After retrieving the certified transcript, the security message Valid Certificate should display. If no message or a Certificate Invalid message displays, the transcript was NOT issued by NSU.

Your eTranscript may be downloaded for up to 30 days after it is sent. After that time, the requestor must submit a new transcript request and pay the fee.
You may use any web browser and will need Adobe Reader to download and view the eTranscript.
If the email address you provided was wrong, you will need to submit a new transcript request with the correct email address. The regular fee will be charged again.
