Andrea was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Prior to moving to the United States, she was taking chemistry and pharmacy courses at a reputable private university in Chile. She first heard about Nova Southeastern University from a consular officer at the U.S. Embassy in Chile, who informed her that the university was home to more than 900 international students from all over the world. Upon hearing this, she decided to travel to the U.S. and joined NSU as a transfer student and employee in July 2012. In her first role at NSU, she served as a teacher assistant at the NSU University School Preschool (formerly the Mailman Segal Center for Human Development). While Andrea's career interests have changed over the years (she is now focused on pursuing a degree in business); her support and love for NSU is unwavering. Today, Andrea serves her NSU community in an administrative role within the Public Relations, Marketing and Creative Services team.
