Bernadette Bruce, M.B.A. is the executive director of printing and publications at Nova Southeastern University. She began her career in public relations, supporting clients such as Gibson Guitars, Northwest Airlines, various City of Memphis departments, and B.B. King’s Blues Clubs. She also served as liaison to the Smithsonian Institution for a landmark exhibition project.
Her background spans branding and strategy for a real estate development firm with a presence in 31 states, executive leadership on multiple nonprofit boards, and early recognition as a Top 40 Under 40 honoree. At NSU, she helped advance a $300 million fundraising campaign, launched MAKO Magazine, and introduced the university’s first alumni-wide periodical. She also led the creation of a public sculpture commemorating the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale’s 80th anniversary. A lifetime member of Leadership Broward, she currently serves as a facilitator for the annual Women Leading Broward program, guiding high-potential women through collaborative leadership development and peer mentorship.
Bernadette holds dual degrees in communications and journalism from University of Memphis and an M.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University. She has also completed executive development programs in Human Resources Management and Workforce Management and Development through Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business.
Outside of work, Bernadette treasures time with four nieces and five siblings, enjoys binge-watching and traveling with her husband, and finds constant inspiration in art and nature.
