SharkMail Setup
When you enter NSU SharkLink and click the SharkMail icon, you should be automatically logged into SharkMail. If you choose to access and manage your SharkMail via this method, there is nothing else necessary for setup.
If you prefer to check and manage your email with other programs or if you wish to add other accounts to your SharkMail, there are several options available to you.
Connecting Other Accounts
You can connect to as many as five email accounts from your cloud-based SharkMail account. Connecting an account allows you to import, send, and read messages from multiple connected accounts in your Outlook Web App interface. To learn more about connecting accounts, see how to use Outlook to manage multiple email accounts.
Forwarding To Another Account
Forwarding all your SharkMail messages to another email account is the easiest method of redirecting your email. To learn how to set your email forwarding options, visit Microsoft’s Forwarding Email help page.
Setting Up Outlook Desktop
If you want to use your SharkMail email with Microsoft Outlook for desktop, you can find instructions at Setting Up Outlook Desktop.
Using IMAP or POP Programs
You may prefer to manage your email from another program on your personal computer or mobile device. SharkMail supports POP and IMAP protocols which allow you to choose from several different email programs to retrieve mail from your SharkMail account.
Finding Your POP / IMAP / SMTP Settings
After you sign in, click Options > See All Options > Account > My Account > Settings for POP, IMAP and SMTP access. The POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP server name and other settings you may need are listed on the Protocol Settings page.

Other Options For Forwarding & Redirecting SharkMail
To check your email from within another webmail client, you need to decide if you prefer to set up email rules that will forward only certain email to the third party client, or if you want to enable all of your email to be accessed through the alternate webmail client. You will also want to choose how forwarded email is archived.
Archived Mail Options
SharkMail allows you to set up Retention and Archive Policies to best suit your personal
preferences. You can get a general overview of these policies by reviewing Microsoft’s
Retention Policy Section. You can also Specify How Long Messages Are Saved as well as Add, Remove, and Organize Your Retention and Archive Policies.
