Welcome Letter from the Executive Associate Dean

Dear Students,

We are proud to welcome you as the inaugural class of Anesthesiologist Assistant students in the state of Nevada. Your decision to pursue this path marks not only a personal achievement, but also a historic milestone, because it is the launch of Nevada’s first Anesthesiologist Assistant program. You are pioneers, helping establish a foundation that will shape the future of perioperative care in this state for years to come.

Your presence here represents far more than the start of a new academic journey. It reflects the continued growth and evolution of the anesthesiologist assistant profession and its essential role in meeting the nation’s increasing healthcare demands. By training in Nevada’s first AA program, you are contributing directly to expanding access to high‑quality anesthesia care and strengthening the anesthesia care team model.

As future Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants, you will be ambassadors for the profession, demonstrating its value through clinical excellence, teamwork, leadership, and patient-centered care. What you accomplish during your education and early careers will influence how the profession is understood, accepted, and expanded throughout Nevada and beyond.

We are honored to support you as you begin this journey. Your commitment, resilience, and dedication will not only shape your own professional futures, but also play a defining role in the continued growth and recognition of the anesthesiologist assistant profession.

Welcome to this historic beginning and to the future of anesthesia care in Nevada.

To your success.
