Dr. Banks is a professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience. He earned his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from the University of North Texas. His research examines attention control mechanisms and factors that alter attention control, with specific interest in understanding the impact of stress on attention control and the protective effects of mindfulness meditation.
