
Dr. Jesús Sánchez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociobehavioral and Administrative Pharmacy at Nova Southeastern University which he joined in November 2010. Dr. Sánchez has a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Miami, Florida (2001), and a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from the University of Granada, Spain (2014). For the last three decades, Dr. Sanchez has been involved in several federally funded research projects that have examined substance abuse and HIV-related risk behaviors. Upon joining the College of Pharmacy and NSU, Dr. Sánchez has expanded his research interests to include vaccine hesitancy and deprescribing. Dr. Sánchez has received funding from the CDC, NIH, and FDA.
