Paul Sirbaugh, DO, FAAP, FACEP

Dr. Paul Sirbaugh is currently Clinical Operations Director of the Section of Emergency Medicine and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine. He is a full-time faculty member and Associate Medical Director of the Emergency Center as well as the Director of Prehospital Medicine at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, TX. Dr. Sirbaugh also serves as Assistant Medical Director for the City of Houston Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services. He earned his D.O. degree from the University of North Texas State Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas and completed his internship at Mt. Clemens General Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. He completed his residency in Pediatrics and his fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine's affiliated hospital, Texas Children's Hospital.

Dr. Sirbaugh lectures locally, statewide, regionally, and nationally on various topics related to Pediatric Emergency Medicine. He is the national Chair of the EMS Subcommittee, as well as a member of the Committee on Pediatric Emergency Medicine, for the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is involved in many local, statewide, regional, and national committees related to pediatric emergency medicine and prehospital pediatrics. Dr. Sirbaugh was honored to be the recent local recipient of the Jefferson Award for his service during Houston's response to Katrina evacuees from New Orleans.

In June of 2007, he represented the Houston area as a contender for the National Jefferson Award at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
