Sharks Abroad Staff

All Sharks Abroad program advising begins with our Sharks Abroad Peer Advisors.  They will help you learn more about the application process, financial aid options, credit transfer, and even help you prepare for your adventures at our pre-departure orientation. You are able to schedule an appointment with any of our Sharks Abroad Peer Advisors by emailing sharksabroad@nova.edu

GIANNA ALLISON

Meet Gianna Allison! She is a senior and an Art and Design major with a minor in Education. She studied abroad last summer in Seoul, South Korea, where she studied Korean language through TEAN. She made many exciting memories, from cultural experiences like practicing Taekwondo, visiting the 38th parallel between North and South Korea, and wearing traditional Hanbok, to eating a variety of delicious foods. She loves traveling and wants to help you find the right program to meet your goals. Schedule an appointment with her today!

CASSIDY CAMPANELLA

Cassidy Campanella is a sophomore Public Health major and a dual admit for the 8 year Osteopathic Medicine Program. She is in Razor’s Edge Shark Talent, with minors in Theater Arts and Pre-health. Cass traveled to Bologna, Italy to participate in a medical fellowship during the summer. She gained over 70 clinical hours in a local hospital and got offered to be a published coauthor of an international research paper from an Italian surgeon. She is extremely passionate about helping everyone gain an amazing study abroad experience, even if it is nontraditional.

TROY'NIA DOUGLAS

Troy’nia is a senior and a Psychology major with a minor in Business Administration. She had the opportunity of completing a Global Remote Internship with a non-profit educational and empowerment-based organization in Seoul, South Korea known as Teaching North Korean Refugees where she took the initiative to work on an individual project by organizing and hosting a web conference catered to spreading awareness about the struggles that North Korean female refugees face. Her participation in the internship has allowed her to improve and develop a plethora of both personal and professional skills. She hopes to encourage every student she interacts with to take advantage of international/study abroad opportunities because she believes that it can definitely be a great way to make connections and level up yourself so many positive ways!

CHANTÉ LIVELY

Chanté Lively is a junior marine biology student with two minors in Global Engagement and Spanish. She is a member of Razor’s Edge Global. She studied abroad with a faculty-led travel study for MBIO 3450: Survey Marine Mammals to Canada and Seattle during Spring Break 2019. It was a great experience full of networking, hands-on experience in marine mammals, and diving more into the field of marine biology beyond the classroom. Chanté loves traveling to new places and hearing the stories of those who have also experienced international education. As a Sharks Abroad Peer Advisor she can't wait to help your study abroad dreams come true.
