The Office of International Affairs offers three options for international students to receive documents from the university.
Students may pick up their documents in person from the Office of International Affairs, located on the second floor of the Horvitz Administration Building on the Fort Lauderdale campus. Students will be notified by email once their documents are ready for pickup. Students must present their NSU Shark Card to receive their documents.
Students who wish for their documents to be picked up by someone else must indicate in writing the name of the individual who will be picking up the documents. The designated individual must show identification and sign for the documents being released.
Students may request that their documents be shipped using regular US Postal Service First Class mail. This option is only available for US addresses; no documents will be sent internationally via USPS. There is no cost to the student for this shipping method. USPS First Class shipments can take 2 to 10 days, depending on the destination within the US. Additionally, there is no tracking available for USPS First Class shipping.
Students may request that their documents be shipped by FedEx using the University Express Mail Service (UEMS / eShipGlobal). This option is required for shipping to international addresses.
The cost for the first initial I-20 sent to a student is covered by the Office of International Affairs. All documents other than the first initial I-20 sent via FedEx are at the student's expense (even if the student did not utilize the free FedEx shipment of their first initial I-20).
