Deborah Pabon

Senior International Student Advisor

Deborah has been with NSU and the Office of International Students since 2004. She started as an Administrative Assistant and rapidly learned the appropriate laws and procedures pertaining to non-immigrant students and scholars earning a promotion to the position of Student and Exchange Visitor Compliance Coordinator. Several months after, she was promoted again to International Student & Scholar Advisor. Currently Deborah serves as our Senior International Student Advisor, working with an international population of around 1,000 students.

Deborah holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, a Master’s in Cross Disciplinary Studies, and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. Additionally, she is a Certified Solution Focused Coach, and has facilitated workshops in topics ranging from LGBTQ issues to intimate partner violence (IPV).

She was also a featured TED Speaker at Nova Southeastern University where she spoke about gender and cultural issues.

Outside of her professional role Deborah enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
