NSU Scholarships

 

Stolzenberg‐Doan Scholarship

  • Up to three $500 awards each semester based on available funds.
  • Eligibility: full‐time undergraduate students with 2.5+ GPA.
  • Deadline for Winter travel: October 1
  • Deadline for Summer/Fall: February 15

Application (SDSF)

Honors College Supplemental Funding

  • Students in the Honors College may petition for supplemental funding for a credit‐bearing travel study/study abroad experience.
  • Funds awarded are paid following successful completion of travel (earned grade/credit) and are applied to relevant expenses not covered by other scholarship or institutional resources (receipts may be required).

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship

Pell grant recipients can receive up to $5,000 for a semester or year abroad.

Fund of Education Abroad

  • Awards up to $5,000 are available for undergraduates who are U.S. citizens and permanent residents who will be earning credit for a program at least 4 weeks in one country.
  • Preference given to first generation college students and students with minority backgrounds.
  • Deadlines are early!
  • Additional scholarship also available.

NSEP Boren Award for International Study

  • A government‐sponsored scholarship for students interested in studying in less common destinations, such as Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
  • Must be interested in studying certain languages.
  • There is an NSEP service requirement upon return.

DAAD German Academic Exchange Services Scholarship

  • For students planning to study in Germany for 4‐10 months.
  • The award includes approximately €650, plus funds for travel, research, and health insurance expenses.

  • Must demonstrate financial need.
