Bookstore Advance Purchase Program (BAPP) Form

The Bookstore Advance Purchase Program (BAPP) allows financial aid recipients to use approved financial aid funds in excess of the charges on a student’s account to purchase books and supplies from the NSU Bookstore before the financial aid disbursement date. BAPP funds may be requested once per semester during the specified BAPP enrollment period and will only be active for a limited period of time each semester.

Eligibility Requirements:
  1. The student's total financial aid award amount for the semester must exceed all institutional charges on the student's account (including, but not limited to tuition, fees, campus housing, NSU health insurance, meals).
  2. Authorization is granted or denied based on a snapshot of the student's account at the time of completion of this request. If changes in enrollment or any other circumstances lead to a change in the student's financial aid eligibility or an increase in tuition and fees and/or room and board charges, the student will become responsible for any outstanding balances that may occur.
 
 
 

Authorization Amount

Students may receive an advance between $100 and $1,000 for purchases of books and supplies at the NSU Bookstore. Below you may indicate the amount you would like to request.  Please note that you will only be approved for the maximum amount if your approved financial aid exceeds all institutional costs by at least $1,000.

Please note:  Requesting the “maximum amount allowed” does not require you to spend the entire amount.  Any unused portion of the advance will be credited back to your student account after the book advance period closes.

Student Certification

I understand that the NSU Bookstore Purchase Advance is based on my current financial aid status with the university for the upcoming semester and that it will be my responsibility to pay any outstanding balance that may be incurred due to a reduction in my financial aid eligibility or an increase in tuition and fees and/or room and board charges in accordance with NSU payment policies.

I understand that the NSU Bookstore Purchase Advance may only be used for the purchase/rental of books and supplies. Any unused portion of the advance will be credited back to my student account after the book advance period closes.
