All NSU faculty and staff have electronic access to Pivot, a comprehensive resource to find funding opportunities for - and share expertise/establish collaborations with - faculty, staff researchers, and graduate students:
Pivot is a leading provider of information resources to researchers, scholars and other professionals around the globe. Pivot brings together the world's prominent scientists at more than 2,000 organizations including universities, corporations, and government agencies worldwide. Pivot provides services that enable these professionals to find the funding, people and information that are important to their work. If you do not have one, create your Pivot Account by clicking on “Sign Up” at the Pivot homepage. Note: If you previously had an account for COS Funding Opportunities, you do not need to create a new account.
You must be logged in to your Pivot account in order to view your homepage (your personal Pivot workspace), save funding searches, track and share funding opportunities, and claim and/or update a profile.
For training in Pivot, contact your Grant Officer or Submit Grant Training Request.
The Foundation Center's web site provides information about foundations, corporate giving programs, and grantmaking public charities in the U.S.; corporate funders; recently awarded grants; and a keyword-searchable database of recently filed IRS Forms 990 and 990-PF. The Alvin Sherman Library hosts the Foundation Directory Online grant search engine, which is accessible by all faculty and staff at the Alvin Sherman Library (second floor).
