Accomplishment
The university’s Campus Card Services Office
required a mobile Web application solution to be
integrated into iShark to cost-effectively disseminate
important information, such as where the NSU
SharkCard can be used across the university.
Previously, students relied solely on word-of-mouth
and brochures to direct them to the necessary
locations and services. As a value-added service, the
mobile application provides instant and up-to-date
information about all SharkCard locations at NSU’s
main campus and at its regional campuses.
Significance
The application reduces the costs associated
with printing SharkCard brochures, increases the
effectiveness of information dissemination with
real-time information and builds a platform that
will allow for expanded features, such as real-time
transaction history and spending patterns in the
future.
