NSU Student Counseling's Mission
Mission Statement
Student Counseling is committed to helping NSU students effectively manage the personal and social challenges of learning and changing in a university environment.
Mission ApplicationThrough outreach efforts and short-term counseling in our offices in the Parker Building, we work collaboratively with students, inviting them to discover creative and enduring solutions to the problems they encounter.
Mission Implementation
Students may participate, at no cost, in up to 10 individual, couple, and group counseling sessions per year. We also offer psychiatric assessment and treatment, for a reasonable fee, when necessary. If students require long-term care or need more help than we are able to provide, we offer appropriate referrals to off-campus professionals.
Prioritizing confidentiality, we are respectful of and sensitive to our clients’ religious beliefs, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and culture.
