Security
For your protection and that of your guests, the following items are not permitted inside the BankAtlantic Center (BAC): air horns, balloons, duffle bags, backpacks and backpack-style purses, diaper bags, oversized/large purses, alcohol, bottles, food, cans, thermoses, coolers, drugs, chains, fireworks, weapons, noisemakers, laser pointers, and strollers. Purses are subject to inspection prior to entering the center. The BAC could also wand guests if the country raises its security alert and conduct “pat down” searches as Homeland Security levels elevate.
Smoking is never permitted at any NSU Commencement ceremony.
There are no facilities available at the BankAtlantic Center for storing purses or other personal items you may be carrying. Please leave these items with your guests. Neither the University nor the BankAtlantic Center is responsible for items left unattended.
