University School
is a fully accredited, college preparatory day school that provides academic programs for students in prekindergarten through grade 12. The school provides a supportive environment for the development of children, teaching them to think, solve problems, and develop leadership skills within an ethical framework. A part of NSU, University School enrolls students in the average to gifted ability range. The rigorous academic programs focus on individual growth, character development, technological competence, extracurricular opportunities, and community service.
A major force in educational innovation, the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences provides educational programs of distinction to prepare students for leadership roles in information technology. The college’s strengths include a distinguished faculty, a cutting-edge curriculum, and flexible online and campus-based formats for its six M.S. and four Ph.D. programs as well as for its graduate certificate programs in information security.

The Mailman Segal Center for Human Development is a multidisciplinary demonstration and professional training center for education, research, and the advancement of knowledge in early childhood, parenting, and autism across the life span. Located at the Jim & Jan Moran Family Center Village, the center offers educational programs, clinical services, and academic programs in collaboration with other NSU divisions.

Fischler School of Education grow in ways they never thought possible. With more than 11,000 students in degree programs from and A.A. to and Ed.D., the Fischler School offers the most innovative, accessible, and technologically advanced programs in the nation. Courses are available online, on-site, and on campus.
The Institute for the Study of Human Service, Health and Justice is dedicated to providing the highest level of excellence in educational experiences to current and future professionals who have the desire to enhance the quality of life for their communities, individuals and families in need. The Institute’s faculty, are committed to supporting students in their pursuit of educational and professional goals, and bring a wide range of expertise in the field of human services and criminal justice with specializations ranging from Child Protection to Gerontology.

The College of Medical Sciences, offers a Master of Biomedical Science degree for individuals seeking careers in Health Care and Higher Education. The College of Nursing is a significant provider of nursing education, offering knowledge to students in all levels of nursing. A world leader in marine biological research with focus on coral reef science and shark conservation, the Oceanographic Center has been at the forefront of graduate marine science education and oceanographic research for over 48 years. Students, scientists, faculty and staff come to the Center from all corners of the globe, with the common goal of learning from the ocean’s living classrooms — in one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. The Center of Excellence for Coral Reef Ecosystems Research recently opened at the Oceanographic Center. It is the only research facility in the nation dedicated to coral reef ecosystem research.
The College of Optometry stands alone as the only optometric academic institution in the state of Florida. The program will prepare you to meet the challenges of expanding primary eye care as the practice of optometry evolves over the coming decades. The College offers training in all clinical areas, including primary care and specialties such as binocular disorders, contact lenses, low vision, ocular disease, geriatrics, pediatrics, and refractive surgery. You will also acquire a knowledge of cell and molecular biology, pharmacology, genetics, and epidemiology of eye disorders.
