Recreation & Wellness

The main reason you’re in college is to learn, and that can mean a lot of hard work. At NSU, we know it’s not only exercise your brain but your body as well. That’s why our office of recreation and wellness offers an abundance of opportunities to have fun, get fit and unwind. Make a splash with aquatics classes. Compete in intramural sports. Learn a new hobby with instructional programs like scuba or golf. Use the modern fitness equipment, get personal training, or take group exercise classes and participate in Club Sports. The choice of how to get the most out of your fitness and wellness is up to you.

Take your fitness routine outside with Outdoor Adventures (View Upcoming Trips).

It’s no coincidence that the Don Taft University Center, which includes our student recreation complex (RecPlex), is just steps away from the library – it symbolizes that necessary balance between work and play. No matter your fitness level, there is something here for everyone.

Whether you are a talented athlete or new to it all, there is fun to be had in intramural sports. Flag football, volleyball, basketball, billiards, water polo, soccer, and many more are offered to all NSU students who want to engage in competitive fun.

Get fit, relax, enjoy. It’s all here at NSU.
