FUNDING YOUR EDUCATION STARTS HERE

The federal government and state of Florida offer financial aid programs to help students pay for college through grants, work-study, loans and scholarships. A financial aid adviser from Nova Southeastern University will help you discover opportunities you’re eligible for and build a funding plan.

Before we get started, you’ll need to file your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We recommend doing this as soon as possible to maximize your potential funding.

Virtual Information Sessions

We also offer several virtual financial aid workshops that cover a variety of topics including how to apply for federal aid, sources of financial aid, and award disbursement.

Federal Aid

The FAFSA opens annually on October 1 at studentaid.gov. We suggest filing as soon as possible to avoid delays and make sure you’re considered for the maximum potential amount of aid. Remember to include our FAFSA code, 001509, so that NSU receives your information—we’ll send you an email confirmation with next steps once we do.

State Aid

Florida residents may be eligible for special grants and scholarships. To qualify, you or your parent/guardian (if you are a dependent) must be a Florida resident for 12 consecutive months prior to the first day of classes for the academic year for which Florida state aid funds are being requested. Certain exceptions apply, so we encourage you to review NSU’s State Aid Application for more details.
