2006 (less than 365kb each)
We’re getting ready for countdown. The building is dried in except for the North end which will open around September (the part attached to the Performing and Visual Arts). The sky lite is complete with terrazzo flooring being poured and sanded. Handrails are all in and being primed for final paint. The hardwood floors for the recreation and wellness multipurpose rooms are installed and being primed for their seal coat and the majority of walls have colors. The arena floor should be laid mid May and the retractable seating is already in (looks fabulous). Some millwork has been delivered such as reception desk and the like and most of the locker rooms are equipped with lockers. |

The interior of the building has been dried out so
that interior work can proceed as planned. Windows are
progressing steadily and work on the interior is in full
throttle. The Hydroworks pool is also being delivered for installation
and the Performing and Visual Arts area is well ahead of
schedule. |

October
2005 (less than 255kb each)
Due to Hurricane Wilma, some damage was sustained but nothing
major. We had the temporary roof come off and a little water entered the
building. Everyone is diligently back to work and putting in an extra effort
to move forward. |

2005 (less than 250kb each)
The skylights are being installed and look fantastic. Exterior
pre-cast is continuing and EFIS is starting on the outside
as well. The Hydro-Therapy pool should be installed within
the next month and the roofing over the arena is moving forward.
Vibro-compaction for the Visual and Performing Art Theater
has taken place, so we should start seeing structure coming
alive soon. |

2005 (less than 300kb each)
We are continuing with the exterior Precast panels on the Westside of University Center and then heading North. Some stairwells have already been installed and more are being scheduled for delivery and installation. Skylight material for the spine of the Center is due for delivery on Friday and installation will start shortly thereafter. Relocation of utilities for the Performing Visual and Arts Center that will be attached to the University Center has been completed and preparation for the building pad is underway. Vibro-compaction for this project should start next week. |

2005 (less than 190kb each)
Architectual pre-cast panel is finding its way around the
exterior of the building providing closure for the interior
portion of work. Masonry walls inside are being formed day-by-day
and the interior is taking on a whole new form. Locker rooms,
bathrooms and offices are coming to life and framing for
drywall and doors are starting. The steel trusses for the
atrium are being hoisted up and welded together in anticipation
for the glass fixture. If you think this building looks tremendously
huge from the outside, your jaw will drop upon entering. |

June
2005 (less than 215kb each)
At the south section of the building we are currently erecting
the architectural pre-cast panels. The entrance to Rosenthal
is well under construction and it shouldn’t be long before that entrance
is reopened. When the
entrance to Rosenthal is opened, the loading dock in the
back will be closed for the construction of the Performing
Visual and Arts Center. Finishing touches for the parking
lots are underway as palm trees and site lighting are
being set. |

May
2005 (less than 200kb each)
This month, some of our parking lots are being prepared for
asphalt, striping and wheel stops. The front
portion of the construction road has been asphalted in an
attempt to have a paved entrance. We have also taken over
the front of Rosenthal and the new entrance is on the
east side. This will last approximately 5-7 weeks and then
the south entrance will reopen. The building is moving along
as well with structural precast being put in place and soon
you’ll
be able to see 100’ twin tees being placed for the roof. The construction
is right on schedule. |

2005 (190kb file size)
This month we’ve worked diligently in forming and pouring our second floor
columns and slab. Site work is commencing with finishing
the roadway entrance from Mary McCahill into the University Center, paving
will start within two weeks and there will be a rerouting for deliveries
to the bookstore and Aramark for one week. The site contractors are also
working on returning the southeast parking lot back to the University within
the next two months. |

The University Center project is moving right along on schedule. We have poured the 2nd floor slab in section C and have
columns being formed for the 3rd floor pour as well. This section will house the double basketball
courts. The elevator pits and hydrotherapy spa have been poured too. We should be starting on the stairwell base close to
Rosenthal shortly. The canal has been completed and sodded. |

February
2005 (249kb file size)
The construction site now consists of poured footings and columns in what's
considered section C on the south side of the University Center. This will
continue in all sections that are finished with the vibro compaction. The main
entrance to the Bookstore has been cordoned off and a new double set of doors
from the inside hall have been installed. We needed the main area to install
more footings and columns, sorry for any inconvenience. The pool has also been
refilled and is being maintained. |

The next big step is the “Vibro Compaction” which will lay
the supports for the building pad prior to laying the foundation of the
building. This will begin on Monday, 1/24/05. Expect to see very large
equipment on site. This will be at least a six week process. |
