NSU officially kicked off the construction of America’s largest coral reef research center by holding a groundbreaking ceremony on March 9 at its Oceanographic Center. The 86,000-square-foot building will be the only research facility in the nation dedicated to coral reef ecosystem research. It’s expected to open in January 2012.
NSU has officially opened a new high-tech nursing simulation lab to better prepare students for a profession that’s in high demand. The lab is a unique education center with 22 real-life robotic patients. The robotic patients are equipped with computer software that emulates various medical conditions and physical ailments.
