About the Office
President and CEO George L. The President and CEO works with the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Executive Vice President and COO, Deans from the university’s 18 colleges and all Vice Presidents to enhance academic quality and the delivery of services to our students while creating efficiencies in order to maximize value and reduce costs. To achieve this, Dr. Hanbury and the Board of Trustees have laid out the university's Vision 2020 alongside eight core values to guide the university and build the NSU brand into one of national prominence in research and academics.
Dr. Hanbury aims to foster academic excellence, intellectual inquiry, leadership, research, and commitment to community through the engagement of students and faculty members in a dynamic, life-long learning environment and to produce alumni who serve with integrity in their lives, fields of study and resulting careers. The president is fostering this environment emphasizing the university's new mission and vision statements, and focusing students, faculty and employees on eight new core values to guide the university into 2020 and beyond.
