All NSU Classes Throughout the State of Florida to Resume Regular Operations on Thursday, August 31
 
All classes at Nova Southeastern University facilities throughout Florida will resume  at their regularly scheduled times on Thursday, August 31. Normal hours will be in effect for students, faculty, staff members.
 
NSU Health Care Centers to Reopen on Thursday, August 31
 
NSU Health Care Centers will reopen on Thursday, August 31. Patients in Broward County may call 954-262-4100 to reschedule their appointments. Patients in Miami-Dade County may call 305-949-4000 to reschedule their appointments.
 
All patients scheduled to be seen at The Eye Institute located at the Sanford L. Ziff Health Center on University Drive (954-262-4200), the NBHD Specialty Care Center on Broward Boulevard (954-525-1351), the NSU Health Care Center on 167th Street in NMB (954-262-4200), and the Lighthouse of Broward County (954-463-4217) should call to reschedule their appointments.
 
University School, Mailman Segal Institute to Reopen on Thursday, August 31
 
University School of NSU and the Mailman Segal Institute for Early Childhood Studies will also reopen on Thursday, August 31.

NSU Health Care Centers will also be closed on Tuesday, August 29. All scheduled patient services at the Sanford L. Ziff Health Center on Tuesday, August 29 will be rescheduled. Patients should call 954-262-4100 to reschedule their appointments.

This closure affects all students, faculty and staff of the University.

University Closures

The responsibility for declaring the closing of the university and NSU properties is the authority of the University President. In the event of an emergency, the University President may close a part of, or all of the university's campuses, regional sites, and/or locations. In the event of the announcement of a Hurricane Warning or other severe weather conditions, the University President will decide when, if and which portions of the university will be closed. Information will also be available on the NSU weather hotline: (800) 256-5065. If you need to review the NSU emergency procedures they are available on the NSU Public Safety website

In Case of Emergency System Shutdown

Should the NSU web site (www.nova.edu) become unavailable due to a hurricane, an alternate informational web site will become available at http://blackout.nova.edu. Please bookmark this link in the event it is needed.
