Translations of the Timeline Followback Calendars and Instructions
The MAPI Institute in France has completed several linguistic validations of the Timeline Followback (TLFB) instrument that includes a sample calendar and a set of instructions. A translation certificate for those validations is on this website. Currently, MAPI has linguistic validations for the following languages: Czech, Hungarian, Italian Slovak, French, German, Polish, Spanish (Spain) and Swedish. Translations of the TimeLine Followback that have been conducted by others are also available on our website.
To make new non-English calendars: For new calendars it is suggested that you download a TLFB calendar in English (e.g., 2014), translate the words from the sample translated calendar, and make your own calendars as needed in whatever language you want.
On May 10, 2012, the MAPI Institute gave us permission to put all of their linguistic validations of the TLFB on our website for others to freely use.
