086: Graduate Student Assistant
Pay: $11.00/hr.
Hours: 15-25 hrs./week
Assist coordinator with on-going projects within the department.
Qualifications: Strong communication skills; ability to handle the public; financial aid experience a plus but not required; training will be provided. Must be a graduate student at NSU. Above average oral communication. Be detailed oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Must be able to work minimum of 15 hours per week. Have Federal Work Study award.
165: Lifeguard
Pay: $9.00/hr.
Hours: available 7:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m.
Prevent accidents through the enforcement of policies, rules, regulation, and the conduct of persons using the pool, saunas, and spa. Additional duties include scrub pool gutters, heavy vacuum and hosing deck.
Qualifications: American Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR certifications required.
412: Admin. Student Assistant
Pay: $8.50/hr.
Hours: 20 hrs/wk -- Available to work 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Mon-Fri
Answer telephones, take accurate messages, route calls, respond courteously and professionally to routine inquiries. Compose and type correspondence, generate reports and other documents. Assist with mailings and special projects. Accurate data entry in Access and Banner. Set up and maintain files. Assist visitors to the department efficiently and courteously. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications: Good organizational skills. Good telephone answering skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Detail oriented. Type approximately 35 WPM. One year of clerical experience. Familiarity and experience using Word, Excel, and Access, Banner or other related software. Must have Federal Work Study.
491: Senior Student Assistant – North Miami Beach
Pay: $9.00/hr.
Hours: 20 hrs./week
Staff the circulations desk, shelve materials, process materials, check out/in computer and A/V equipment after being trained to help set up computer software, prepare training areas, prepare first level preventative, maintain A/V equipment after being trained, assist patrons using computer.
Qualifications: Extremely reliable, computer literate, willing to work on repetitive task, ability to solve problems within the circulation department when necessary, ability to file and photocopy.
594: Graduate Student Assistant – Verification
Pay: $10.00/hr.
Hours: 20 hrs./week
Reviewing of federal tax documents and verification documents in order to verify the accuracy of the information contained on financial aid application. Requires posting of data to computer system.

615: Service Representative
Pay: $10.00/hr
Hours: Mon – Fri.
Two shifts available: 9-1 p.m. or 1-5 p.m.
Provide clerical support to the Director and the Administrative Assistants. Provide office coverage, greet, announce, and route clients to services, receive and route telephone calls, provide technical assistance to students using the Kiosk to register, print certificates, or take the online courses. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work cooperatively with others. Ability to organize, plan, and implement. Ability to use the computer, typewriter, telephone, calculators, and audio-visual equipment. Possess a current valid driver's license. Weekend and evening work available. Spanish language a plus.
641: Graduate Student Assistant/Writing Tutor
Pay: $10.25/hr.
Hours: 5-16 per week
Work with students on an individualized basis. Assist in the various stages of the writing process: brainstorming, planning, organizing, revising. Assist with sentence structure, grammar, sentence and paragraph development, punctuation, MLA & APA documentation.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in English, Writing, Communications, Journalism, or related field. Strong writing skills and the ability to work with students at difference levels of academic preparation. Teaching and/or tutoring experience preferred, but not required.
695: Administrative Student Assistant

Qualifications: Be proficient in MS Word. Working knowledge of MS Publisher & Graphic Design software tools. Proofreading ability is a must.
824: Marketing Assistant
Pay: $10.00/hr.
Hours: 20 hrs./week
Reports directly to the Director of Community Relations and Marketing. Works on the marketing materials under the supervision of the director. Must understand how to create postcards, posters, bookmarks, brochures and other materials as directed. Provides support for marketing director.
Qualifications: Must be available for 20 hours per week. Must be dependable, reliable and able to work with little supervision. Must be proficient with MS Office, Publisher and Photoshop.
849: Administrative Student Assistant

869: Data Entry Specialist
Pay: $9.00/hr.

Provide technical support. Accurately input information in the Banner system. May perform a single independent task in a specialized area. Maintain and process a variety of records involving technical data and terminology unique to the function of the department. Reviews and checks report for accuracy. Performs related clerical duties as required.
Qualifications: Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information. Ability to communicate orally and in writing effectively in English. 878: Senior Student Assistant/Marketing Assistant
Pay: $9.00/hr.
Hours: 20 hrs./week (Some weekends and evenings may be required)
Support marketing efforts including: press releases, visual displays, targeted mailings, market research and other projects as needed. Support development efforts including: special events (RSVP management, auction support, etc.).

897: Graduate Assistant/IT Specialist
Pay: $14.00/hr.
Hours: 20 hrs./week (Weekends and evenings required)
Provide intermediate level technical support services, including but not limited to the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of hardware and software for desktops, laptops, peripherals, videoconferencing, and digital media at locations including smart classrooms, electronic classrooms, offices, clinics, etc., on and off campus as required. Provide daily reports on duties performed during session coverage. Work independently, provide first-line, basic support of hardware and software. Provide office support answering phones, monitoring bridge connections, perform data entry as requested. Log and track user requests and problem reports. Participate in inter-departmental training offerings. Available to travel as required. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Graduate student at NSU. Above average computer knowledge, MS Office applications knowledge, and customer service skills. Able to lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds and to climb ladders if needed. Preferred qualifications: completed previous technical coursework, previous experience in a customer service environment. Previous experience in an educational institution.
899: Media Production Technology Assistant
Pay: $10.00/hr.
Hours: 20 hrs./week (weekends and evenings required on occasion)
Assist producers with pre-production, production, and post-production of videos and DVD’s to support the delivery of academic programs (including distance education) and marketing and promotional campaigns conducted by the University’s academic centers. Under direction of the producer, videotape academic lectures and presentations in the studio, field, and other locations deemed appropriate by operating cameras and other video and audo production equipment. Also shoot b-roll footage for academic videos and DVD’s in a variety of settings. Coordinate and prepare talent for video appearances. Work collaboratively with multimedia designer on video for online courses. Provide simple editing tasks and post-production compression.
Qualifications: Basic knowledge of creative software such as Photoshop, Premier, Moviemaker or iMovie. Experience using camcorders. Organized.
