Seating and Tickets
The arena doors will open one hour prior to the published start time of the ceremony for candidates and their guests. Because seating is limited in the Don Taft University Center (UC), all guests, regardless of age, will need a ticket to enter the arena to view commencement. It is important to also remember that commencement seating is on a first-come, first served basis and large groups of guests wishing to sit together should arrive when the doors first open because saving seats is not permitted.
At the UC, all wheelchair-accessible seating is located on the second floor of the arena. Only one guest may accompany those who require wheelchair-accessible seating so as to secure enough seats for all of our guests with special needs.
Candidates will receive information about tickets with their Commencement Participation Form invitation, approximately two months before their ceremony. Because seating is limited in the UC, all guests, regardless of age, will need a ticket to enter the arena to view commencement. Please note that a ticket allows admission into commencement but does not guarantee a seat. Seats are on a first-come basis and cannot be reserved. Candidates must provide guests with their commencement tickets PRIOR to arriving at the UC. Guests will not have access to the student line-up area.
Guests who do not have tickets for arena seating will have the opportunity to view a live telecast of the ceremony via closed circuit television at the Flight Deck Pub in the UC. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The sign language interpreter is visible on the live telecast screen. The simulcast viewing is not closed captioned.
All NSU Commencement ceremonies will also be video streamed in real time. Anyone interested in viewing commencement from a home computer or tablet must pre-register as streaming seats are limited. Visit the NSU Commencement home page and click on the "Commencement Ceremony Live" icon to register for your ceremony. Registration will begin in mid-March.
All commencement video streams will be archived on the site approximately one week after the ceremony.
