The New
The process of creating the new nova.edu began at the
beginning of October 2012, when the Office of Innovation
and Information Technology and NSU’s Marketing
departments collaborated on ways that would revitalize
the current website and make it easier for students to find
the information that they needed.

T conducted internal and external research to
determine the features and functionality that should be
used to craft NSU’s new website, while the marketing
team worked on writing and organizing text and pictorial
content. After several solid concepts were decided upon,
the designs were presented to focus groups comprised
of NSU students and prospective students from McFatter
High School.
There is still work to be
done and we look forward
to continuing to push NSU
forward towards our shared
Vision 2020.
NSU’s New Look
The students’ feedback was instrumental in helping to
create the final design that you see today. While there
is still work that needs to be completed in the redesign
of the entire website, OI

T welcomes the challenge
as NSU moves towards a shared Vision 2020. The
teams are continually evaluating the needs of students,
faculty, and staff in order to identify opportunities to
implement new technologies that better showcase our
commitment to academic excellence.

T principle designers, James Drew and Jesse Perez
from the Visual Information Architecture team, worked
closely with the Web development and NSU’s marketing
teams to create the fresh look and feel of the new
nova.edu.
