Summer Orientation

Freshman

Freshman daytime students are traditional college students that generally take classes in the daytime throughout the week.

Daytime students have the option of taking evening and online classes, in addition to day classes, throughout their academic career. To be considered full-time, you must register for at least 12 credits each semester.

Selecting a Session

Please make certain that you will be able to attend the entire program for the dates you select. You are required to attend all of the activities during the program, including the overnight stay.

Our two-day, one-night Freshman Orientation Programs are designed to help you begin your journey toward student success at NSU. During your overnight stay you’ll experience an intensive, exciting, informative, and enjoyable introduction to life at NSU.

Students will be housed in the Leo Goodwin Sr. Residence Hall. Each room is equipped with two single beds and a private bath. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. on the first day of orientation in the residence hall lobby. Check-out starts at 3:00 p.m. on the second day of orientation. Guests, siblings, and other family members are not permitted to attend orientation with students. A separate parent/family program is offered during the first day of each freshman orientation program.
