Entry Level Nursing Orientation

Congratulations on your acceptance to Nova Southeastern University and welcome to the Entry-Level Nursing program! By coming to orientation, you will have fun, meet other students, and be introduced to faculty and program administration. You will learn about the many available services and resources here at NSU and be provided a tour to ensure your preparedness for your first day of classes. Please make certain that you have made arrangements to attend the entire program as it is mandatory.

  • Dress Business Casual
  • You will have an opportunity to try on lab coats and scrubs between check-in and program start time
  • Lunch will be provided
  • Your nursing support coordinator has pre-registered you for your first semester classes; log on to SharkLink to view your courses and& booklists
  • You will be required to complete background check through Certified Background before the 1st day of orientation
  • All immunization and physical records MUST be uploaded to Certified Background; for more information, visit the College of Nursing Web site.
  • Attendance at orientation is mandatory

*Check-in begins 30 minutes prior to start time

  • Vehicle registration (not a copy) to register your vehicle and obtain a parking permit.
  • Your laptop or tablet’s MAC address in order to access our campus wireless network. Not sure where to find your MAC address? Click here.
  • Students interested in waiving NSU's Health Insurance should bring their health insurance card. For more information, visit the Health Insurance page.

Main Campus Entry-Level Nursing students are required to attend Shark Frenzy: NSU’s Grand Orientation on August 22, 2013.
