The Nova Singers is Nova Southeastern University’s premier community chorus. Having just marked its 40th anniversary, the all-volunteer choir includes approximately 140 members—ranging from NSU undergraduate students to senior members of the local community. The Nova Singers serves as musical ambassadors for the university as they sing around the country and abroad. The choir’s previous performance destinations include Carnegie Hall and Saint Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. The Nova Singers' repertoire ranges from the classics and Broadway hits to modern composers' original works.

Auditions are open

rehearsalThe Nova Singers is an adult (teens through senior citizens) community chorus. Auditions are open to all who are interested in participating. Membership is limited due to the capacity of the rehearsal room and concert venues.

Auditions are held two days each year:

7:00 p.m. on the last Tuesday in August and the first Tuesday in January

Next audition: Tuesday, August 30 | 7:00 p.m.

The choir is seeking singers of all ranges, especially tenors and basses.

During the audition, potential members are asked to sight-read a short passage of music. Please do not bring prepared selections, music, or CDs to your audition. Your voice is all you need!
